Sat (today)-Second Street Brewery, Santa Fe, 6/9PM, W/Brett Davis
Mon/Tue-La Fiesta Lounge, Santa Fe, 7:30
Had a wonderful evening, celebrating my dear friend , and Golf Hall Of Famer, Kathy Whitworth’s 80th birthday, at Ventana Fine Arts, here in town. Sang her two favorites, NM Rain, and Navajo Rug. She is truly one of the classist ladies, I have ever met. The carrot cake was wonderful as well. Can’t eat too many deserts these days, especially my Hearnette Melanie Marione Matthews, also part-time assistant and diet watchdog. I’m making progress, and I know my back will be happy, as well. Then headed over to La Fiesta, and sat in with my pal Jimmy Stadler, and his trio, with my part-time bassist Dave Toland, I and drummer buddy Paul Piercy. Great evening, all the way.
My Live At society Hall, CD is doing great. And I hope you’ll take a look, pick-up a copy, next time you see me play. It’s also now available, on www.billhearne.com . I’ll of course have them at my shows. We rerecorded some favorites, Navajo Rug, West Texas Wind, Drifter’s Wind, along with some new tunes. Hope you’ll check it out.
Having second shot on Mon, for my spinal stenosis, first one was only marginally successful. Boy, this not fun, and don’t wish it on anyone. We’ll see what happens, this time around. If not good, I’ll have to consider surgery, to relieve the pressure on my spinal cord. I will not be giving up my Texas shows, check the website for those dates in late OCT, early NOV. Surgery after Texas, as soon as possible in Nov.
Got to go for now, need to rest, and get some relief. Best to all, and stay healthy. Thanks, as always for your support, and hope to see you soon. Beautiful fall colors shaping up around Santa Fe, so come on up.
