Barring an emergency, with daughter Sarah, soon to be first child, his fourth grandchild, my fourth great great nephew, Michael Hearne will be joining me at Gruene Hall, New Braunfels, TX, on Sun 6/9 from 5/9PM. We normally play Gruene on Sat afternoons, but it just didn’t work out quite that way this time around. Michael is already scheduled to join me, as I mentioned in earlier email yesterday, At my Kerrville Folk Festival concert, and screening of mine and Bonnie’s documentary, New Mexico Rain, The Story of Bill & Bonnie Hearne. As many of you know, Michael lives in the Austin,TX, and with me in Santa Fe, NM, we sadly, don’t get a chance to pick much together, other than Michael’s Big Barn Dance Festival in early Sep. These two shows, will be a rare treat for our fans, to hear us together. Hope you can make one, or both events. For other Texas tour dates, and all my dates, please go to my Facebook, or better, www.billhearne.com <www.billhearne.com> .

Hope all is well with everyone. It’s all good here in Santa Fe, much needed rain, and even some snow in the high country this week. Glad to see it, here in the high desert. A little more going on this week, excited to play at the Cowgirl BBQ, hopefully on the patio, weather permitting. Also, I’ll be doing my first “third Sunday” solo show at La Fiesta Lounge at La Fonda. If all goes well, I’ll be doing this every third Sunday of each month, in addition to my regular Mon/Tue dates. A little more mellow, and more Americana drift to the music. It certainly won’t be against the law to dance, on these nights, but the focus will be on more listening type music. We’ll see what happens. I want to thank Jenny Kimball and La Fonda for giving this a shot. Big thanks to Dave Toland, my good friend and part-time bassist and sound tech, for helping me with the digital PA and running the iPad. I’ll be by my lonesome for this show. Dave will be joining me at the Cowgirl on Sat afternoon, on bass and harmony vocals.
My Texas tour will begin at the Kerrville Folk Festival on May 28th. I’ll be doing a concert at the campground stage, Michael Hearne is scheduled to join me, along with Jon Mastin on bass, and possibly my buddy Bob Goldstein, who played with me, and still does on occasions. Show starts at 7:00P, followed by screening of the Bill & Bonnie Story, New Mexico Rain at dark. Bunee Tomlinson, producer/director, will also be there. I’m also glad to have my dear friend Melanie Matthews along, for part of this tour for personal assistance, CD sales, etc. Unfortunately, she can only take off a week, but so glad she’s coming with me. My complete schedule is as always, on www.billhearne.com <www.billhearne.com> . Be out till June 9th, so NO LA FIESTA LOUNGE SHOW ON MAY 27TH/28TH, AND JUNE 3rd/4th. I do plan on being back, if SWA gets me back on time, for June 10th/11th. Hope to see many of my dear fans and friends on the elongated run to Texas. Also playing a couple of new venues, along the way.
Best to everyone on this list, and please, if you know someone who is a fan, let them know about the newsletter, and tell them to sign up on my website. I look forward to seeing you soon. Stay safe, and happy.

Sure need more of you good people next time at Poor David’s, but had a great time with the folks thast were there.
Wanted to mention to any of our Taos friends, that the screening of New Mexico Rain, will be on Sun May 5th, at 5PM, at the Taos Community Auditorium, followed by a 50min performance by yours truly. I’ll also be signing film posters after the show. It will be a fundraiser for the New Mexico Music Foundation to support the Platinum Music Awards show in Aug, and their work in the public schools. Hope to see you there. Tickets are available through the TCA in Taos.
The New Mexico Rain film, will also be shown at the Kerrville Folk Festival on Tue May 28th,with a pre-show concert by myself, along with Michael Hearne and Jon Mastin on bass. Concert at 7PM, followed by screening at around 8:30. Admission is $25, to enter the festival grounds. The event will be held at the intimate Threadgill Theater, located in the campground area.
That’s all for now, stay well, and stay alert for dangerous weather, especially my Texas fans. Hope to see you soon, and that’s for your support of both, my music, and all of us who play heartfelt music.
