Mon/Tue-La Fiesta Lounge at La Fonda Hotel, Santa Fe, NM, 7:30/10:45PM
Big weekend just over with. What an experience sitttin’ in with Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen this last Friday night. My buddy and “sister in spirit” Becky Crutchfield, was my chauffer from Santa Fe, to ABQ’s Popejoy Hall for the show. My other “sister” Mary Alden Allard, joined me from Estancia, NM, so as you see, I was well taken care of. Thanks to Mary for treating Becky and I to breakfast on Sat morning. Y’all are my “rock” these days. It truly was a wonderful weekend, with friends, and grateful for all of you.
New CD, “Where Lights Are Low”, Bakersfield/Texas Honky-Tonk, produced by Don Richmond, four the fifth time, is at the pressing plant in Dallas. If all goes well, we will have them for sale at our show with Michael Hearne and Shake Russell at Poor David’s Pub in Dallas on Sat Mar 3rd. Yes, it won’t be long, so get your tickets at www.poordavidspub.com . BTW, regarding new, I think y’all will be impressed with the photos taken by David Michael Kennedy, thanks for the third time, and graphics by my beautiful great niece, Sarah Hearne, who also did the art for the Hearne Family Album. Hopefully, she’ll do many more for me, as long as we have CD’S, which may not be much longer, unfortunately.
A big shout out to my buddies Tom and Nina Rebstock. Tom provided my final run to Alamosa last week to finalize the mix for the new CD, and Nina for her incredible home cooking. So far, meatloaf, Tilapia, green chicken enchiladas, blue corn, I might add, which was shared with Becky, and no tellin’, what next. Nina is a certified neutralist, and dietician. Boy, I’m a lucky man to have such great ladies takin’ care of me these days.
Getting kind of late, but hope is well with all of you, looking forward to our Texas run Mar 1/2/3. Go to Website www.billhearne.com , for all the date info, although Mar 1st is private. Stay well, and remember, how precious are our days, and how precious are our families, including non-biological family. See you soon.
