Fri—Sagebrush Inn, Taos, NM, 8/11PM, trio Fri/Sat—Please check-out my good friend and former bassist/vocalist Cathy Faber and her Swingin’ Country Band at the La Fiesta Lounge in the La Fonda Hotel, Santa Fe, NM 8/11PM. Great swing and two-steppin’ and Cathy’s great vocals. Sun—Café Greco, 233 Canyon Rd, Santa Fe, 12/3PM, SOLO Howdy! Folks, Little late again, but thanks for your patience. Two great at the La Fiesta L:ounge and looking forward to another good Friday night at the Sagebrush Inn up Taos way. Heading that way, come on by and do a little two-steppin’ with Bob, Zeke and I from 8/11PM. Also, I’ll be doing my regular Sunday afternoon thing at Café Greco to wrap up this week. Special thanks to dave toland for setting up my new printer, my last one lasted 10 years, so I can’t complain. Dave is not only fine bassist, but does excellent tech work, computers, printers etc. He’ll be with us next Mon/Tue at the La Fiesta. Don’t forget, Wed Aug 12th the big “Hearne night” on the Santa Fe Plaza at 6PM with my trio, plus Michael Hearne and SXSW. We’ll keep ya out for 2.5 hours plus, dancing the evening away. No doubt, we’ll do some tunes together for sure. We’ll have info about the Michael Hearne Big Barn Dance Music festival, at Kit carson Park in Taos, Sep 10/11/12 as well. Of course, Bonnie and I will be there, and hopefully, Bonnie might make the plaza. We’ll be hopeful and see what happens. Also next weekend is the big “Hot Chili Days And Cool Mountain Nights” festival in Red River, NM. Texas chili cook-off on Sat and music Wednesday /Saturday. The trio plays at 4PM on Friday 8/14 at Brandenberg Park, smack dab in the middle of Red River, and Michael and SXSW later that same evening at the fabulous Motherlode Saloon around 9:30ish. Lots of other great Texas and other singer/songwriters performing the entire weekend. I’ll say adios for now, gotta get up early to do some guitar work for my dear friend and songwriter Tom Russell and project he’s working on. Tom is the co-author of Navajo Rug, along with my buddy Ian Tyson. Honored to playing a tune for a tribute to Rosalie Sorrells. Great sing/songwriter, who passed not too long ago. We also lost Lynn Anderson, “I Never Promised You A Rose Garden” fame, and the great pedal steel guitarist, Buddy Emmons. He was worhsiped by every person who ever played a pedal steel. If you don’t know who he is, go to YouTube and play “Night Life” by Ray Price, and you’ll hear him play one of the great pedal steel parts of all time. See you soon, and take care and mucho thanks for your support. Thanks, Bill BOOKINGS: 505-690-2514 OR
