Hi! Folks,
Bonnie’s shoulder replacement went well. Long recovery, sgourt/six weeks in a brace, and lots of PT ahead. Hopefully she’ll be ready to roll by Michael Hearne’s Big Barn Dance Weekend. Fortunately, we have some volunteer help with bonnie, plus our regular assistance program. We’re going to hang in and be OK. Thanks for all the support and love, and hope to see you soon. Don’t miss our friends, American JeM, on the Santa Fe Bandstand, tomorrow night, Tue, at 7:15. Then come across the street to La Fonda and enjoy the rest of the evening with my Bill Hearne Trio. Take care, and stay well. See you soon, somewhere.

Sincerely,
Bill

Sat-private engagement, house concert, trio

Sun-Taos Mesa Brewing, Taos (El Prado), NM, 7/9PM, trio, one two hour show, no intermission

Howdy! Folks,
A big thanks to the New Mexico Music Comm. And foundation for putting on a world class event this last Friday, honoring Bonnie and I and six other artists with the first Platinum Awards Lifetime Achievement award. We’re honored and thanks to all for the kind words on Facebook. We sincerely appreciate this honor, and your support. Our friend and fellow musician, Joe West did a superb job as MC and also introduced our video and presentation. A beautiful job also by American JeM, who honored us with our nephew, Michael Hearne’s New Mexico Rain. It has become one of mine and Bonnie’s signature songs. Also, a big thanks to the Waldorf School here in Santa Fe, for inviting me to their fundraising golf tournament this last Sat. Honored to represent the honorees, Waldorf School is a sponsor. Couldn’t do much except putt and pitch a few shore shots, but managed a couple descent shots and helped our team a little. Can’t do a lot with my bad shoulder, which I hope I can get replaced next winter, when things quiet down here in Santa Fe.
Come join us and this week at the La Fiesta and finally, we are getting back to Taos area with a once per quarter show at Taos Mesa Brewing, on far north side of Taos, actually El Prado. Just a couple of miles east of the Rio Grande Gorge high bridge. We will be doing just one long two hour show ending at 9PM.
The private house concert on Sat, is as it says, private. Speaking of private, we are available for these types of events, not just in your house, whatever venue you might choose, and format, such as birthday, weddings, anniversaries, fundraisers, etc. My contact info is at the signature on bottom of this email.
Bonnie will have her second shoulder surgery this Thur, We’re hopeful some good results and pain relief for her. A little more complex that the first repair on her other shoulder. She’ll be ready to head up for Michael Hearne’s Big barn Dance in Sep. The trio, with special guest Don Richmond, pinch hitting for Bob, will be performing on Sat afternoon Sep 9th. I hope to have a number of Hearne family members, joining in with me, and of course Michael and Bonnie. Getting late, gotta get some rest, so take care and best to all. Stay healthy and happy.

Sincerely,
Bill

It was great performing in mine and Bonnie’s former residence in Red River, NM this last Friday night. Many friends turned out, some I hadn’t seen in several years. Nice mountain rain before we started at beautiful Community House, Music In The Mountains music series. Thanks to all, who came to the show.
The next month, just got busier with two new private engagements added, in the next month. , plus another date at Tiny’s in early Aug. Very blessed to be so busy. The fundraiser for the Pecos Watershed should be fun. Want to Thank our buddy and pickin’ friend Doug Jeffords, for inviting us this year to help support their conservation work in the Upper Pecos River.
Bonnie finally received her CT Scan, and is scheduled for her shoulder replacement surgery on July 27th. Hopefully, this will be a huge help to her well being, crossing our fingers. She will effectively have a new shoulder when rehabbed. She is very hopeful of making Michael Hearne’s Big Barn Dance weekend on 9/7/8/9. I’ll be there for sure with Zeke and Don Richmond pinch-hitting for Bob.
